Black Ops Zombies in browser: link, download size and launch check

Short answer · Reached the start screen

It loads without asking for game files, but the download is large. On October 12, 2026 the Zombies collection at vel.gg/bo1z showed ten maps. Kino der Toten downloaded 330.5 MB in about seven minutes and reached “Click to start”. Our test browser could not hand over the mouse, so we did not play a round.

What happened when we tried

One attempt in an automated desktop Chromium session on macOS (Apple silicon) on October 12, 2026. No person played. Results can differ by browser, device, network and day.

  1. We opened vel.gg/bo1z, the BO1 Zombies link from the Radiant Optimizer reply. It showed a Mission Select menu with ten maps: Kino der Toten, “Five”, Der Riese, Nacht der Untoten, Verrückt, Shi No Numa, Ascension, Call of the Dead, Shangri-La and Moon.
  2. The menu has a Hell Mode switch, described on the page as starting on round 100 with up to 300 zombies at once and no perk machines.
  3. We chose Kino der Toten. The launcher stated a 330.5 MB download. It did not ask for game files, an account or payment.
  4. The download and loading took about six minutes and 45 seconds on our connection, then the launcher showed “Click to start”.
  5. We clicked. The launcher asked for mouse capture and sound, and our automated test browser refused: “Mouse or sound access was declined”. That is a limit of our test setup, so we could not control a round.
  6. A second automated attempt in a different browser session did not reach the start screen within 15 minutes. We do not know whether the cause was the download or our setup.

What you need

  • No game files were requested before the start screen in our check. We did not get far enough to rule out a later prompt.
  • Room for a large download: 330.5 MB for Kino der Toten. On October 11 the Moon launcher advertised 404.4 MB.
  • A browser that allows mouse capture and sound. The launcher requests both when you click to start.
  • Phone and tablet support: not checked.

Questions

Is Black Ops Zombies in browser free?

The vel.gg launcher did not ask us to pay, sign in or supply game files before the start screen. It is a third-party project, not a release from Activision or Treyarch, and this directory cannot tell you whether its use of game content is licensed.

Which Zombies maps are listed?

On October 12, 2026 the menu listed Kino der Toten, “Five”, Der Riese, Nacht der Untoten, Verrückt, Shi No Numa, Ascension, Call of the Dead, Shangri-La and Moon. We launched only Kino der Toten.

How long does it take to load?

Kino der Toten took about seven minutes on our connection for a 330.5 MB download. A second automated attempt did not finish within 15 minutes. Expect the time to depend on your connection and on the project's server.

Why are the original Kino der Toten and Moon links withheld?

The Radiant Optimizer reply listed separate addresses for those two maps. On October 11, 2026 both redirected to an online casino page, so this directory shows them as text only and points to the vel.gg collection instead.
