Skate 3 in browser: link, files and launch check

It began loading, then stopped on an error. On October 12, 2026 the fan project at skate.aaddpp.lol started a 44 MB game-data download and showed a “Something went wrong” screen before any skating. The project says you must bring your own legally owned copy of Skate 3.

What happened when we tried

One attempt in an automated desktop Chromium session on macOS (Apple silicon) on October 12, 2026. No person played. Results can differ by browser, device, network and day.

  1. We opened skate.aaddpp.lol. For about 20 seconds it showed “Connecting to the game server and the game data…”.
  2. A notice followed, titled “This is a fan game”. It says the project is not made by EA, that no game content is hosted there, and that you bring your own legally owned copy of Skate 3, converted on your own machine.
  3. We clicked to continue. A loading screen listed four steps: Connecting, Game data, Engine and Starting the engine. The game data step showed 44 MB at roughly 0.9 MB per second. We had not supplied any files.
  4. About a minute later the page showed “Something went wrong”, with a “Failed to fetch” error for a custom-characters file. Choosing OK returned us to the notice.
  5. We did not reach a menu or a skating session, and we did not retry.

Questions

Is Skate 3 in browser made by EA?

No. The project's own notice says it is an unofficial, non-commercial fan game that is not made, endorsed or supported by Electronic Arts or Black Box.

Do I need my own copy of Skate 3?

The project says yes: no game content is hosted there and you bring your own legally owned copy, converted on your own machine. In our check a 44 MB game data download started without us supplying files, and we stopped at the error screen, so we cannot tell you how the project checks for a copy.

Why did it show “Something went wrong”?

The error text said a custom-characters file could not be fetched. We do not know whether that was temporary. It is one dated attempt on October 12, 2026, not a statement that the project is down.

Is there a different Skate link in the list?

Yes, the reply also has an entry labeled Skate Rust. On October 11 that address opened an unrelated merchandise storefront, so this directory withholds its visit link.
